History:
Early Years:
Turkish Airlineswas established on 20 May 1933 as State Airlines Administration as a department of the Ministry of National Defence. The airline's initial fleet consisted of two five-seat Curtiss Kingbirds, two four-seat Junkers F.13s, and one ten-seat Tupolev ANT-9. The airline was turned over to the Ministry of Public Works and was subsequently renamed General Directorate of State Airlines back in the year 1935 and became part of the Ministry of Transportation three years later, in 1938.
It was flying about three million passengers a year to 16 domestic destinations and three dozen international ones. This airline became Turkey's largest source of foreign currency.
Turkish Airlines began operating Airbus A310s in 1985, allowing the addition of flights to Singapore in 1986. A route to New York City was added in 1988 via Brussels.
Latest: In August 2016, Turkish Airlines announced a profit collapse to a loss of 198 million Euros for the second quarter of 2016 while expecting an overall loss of 10 million passengers for 2016.

1.Seating features- These seated are very friendly for long as well as a short period journey with legroom of 79cm and seat can slide forward 35cm and recline up to 15 cm. You can adjust your foot rest and head rest. This also has a power socket and USB socket embedded in it. Power Socket

Turkish Airlines’ frequent-flyer program is named Miles&Smiles which was inaugurated in 2000 after the airline left Qualiflyer. These earned miles can be used on Turkish aircraft, as well as on flights served by the entire Star Alliance network.
Turkish Airline started a frequent-flyer program in 2000 called Miles&Smiles through which you can use your earned miles in
Turkish Airline flights and also in any star alliance operated flights. There different categories of card like Classic Plus card holder of Miles&Smiles can have the same benefit as of Star Alliance Silver cardholders. While Miles&Smiles Elite and Elite Plus card holders can enjoy the same benefits as of Star Alliance Gold cardholders.

It is free of oats, barley, wheat and its derivative product like bread, cake, etc. This has fresh vegetables and fruits, glutted free bread, dairy product like milk and yogurt, rice flour, soya milk, and flour.
This is free of eggs, omelets, cheese, yogurt, milk, ice cream, instant coffee, instant soup, the bread of any high lactose dairy product. This includes fresh vegetable, meat, fruits, soya drinks and any low lactose substitute for milk.
