About British Airways Plc,
Headquartered at Waterside, Harmondsworth, British Airways is the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom. Behind EasyJet, it is the second-largest airways in the United Kingdom on the basis of fleet size and passengers carried. After merging with Iberia, British Airways created the International Airways Group (IAG) which is a holding company registered in Madrid, Spain.
After a British Airways Board was established by the British government, BA was created in 1974 to manage the two nationalized airline corporations, British Overseas Airways Corporation and British European Airways, and two regional airways, Cambrian Airways, and Northeast Airways. All four companies were merged to form British Airways in March 1974 and however, it is marking 2019 as its centenary on the basis of predecessor companies.
